SuperBook.com Keeping Eye On Iverson Situation!
Tuesday, December 12nd 2006 (Bob Acton)

The largest online sportsbook and casino on the planet, is keeping a close watch on the possible trade of Allen Iverson from the Philadelphia 76ers. While the NFL and the impending College Bowl season are front and center these days, Sportsbook.com is the home for NBA Betting.

SuperBook writer Bob Acton has an inkling that the ‘Answer’, may be heading west. “The Kings of Sacramental look like a perfect fit and the Sixers, would probably get Mike Bibby in return” suggested Acton. Remember “Philly has a guy named Chris Webber underachieving these days and he and Bibby worked well in California”.

At 31, there’s no doubt that AI has some fuel still in the tank, but I don’t think an NBA team is interested in a long term commitment. What teams need a quick fix should be the question and there are several that come to mind. Golden State and Don Nelson play an up tempo run and gun system and Iverson would be a great trigger man.

Watching Dallas play recently, there must be concern with the lack of production coming from Jason Terry and Iverson would take some of the heat off of Nowitski and Howard. Monday night against Utah they were just 26-69 from the field and that will not get it done on most nights.

Philadelphia has its first eight-game losing streak since April 1997 -- Iverson's rookie season. The Sixers (5-15) have lost 15 of 17 and are tied with Charlotte for the worst record in the Eastern Conference.

Another scenario is Iverson playing his home games in the Staples Center but not with Kobe. The other tenant the Clippers have been mediocre at best with their 10-10 mark and the jury is still out on shooting guards Cuttino Mobely and Quinton Ross. The Clippers could put together an attractive package of young and inexpensive players, which owner Ed Snider would consider.

Make sure you visit SuperBook.com on a daily basis, as the excellent sportsbook staff just may throw a few Iverson propositions at you that could provide you with another betting opportunity.
