It Has Been No Contest When The AFC And The NFC Meet Lately!
Wednesday, December 13rd 2006 (Bob Acton)

December 13, 2006 (New York, NY) - There are two consistent themes during the fall and winter months of September-January. Americans love to bet on NFL Football and most of them use SuperBook.com as their online sportsbook.

You know years ago the NFC simply dominated the AFC, but that trend has changes and if you are doing some betting you may want to consider playing the dominant AFC this weekend.

There are three games that will pit the two conferences as Pittsburgh travels to Carolina, New York Jets face Minnesota and the Denver Broncos head to Phoenix and a date with the Cardinals. In the last several weeks had you backed the AFC; let’s just say you are going to enjoy a nice Christmas.

AFC is 22-7ATS...75.9 % vs. NFC ...last 29 games between these conferences.

AFC is 23-6 SU vs. NFC last 29 games.
AFC is 10-5 ATS @ home vs. NFC last 29
AFC is 12-2 ATS on the Road vs. NFC last 29
AFC is 13-4 ATS as favorite vs. NFC last 29
AFC is 9-3 ATS as a dog vs. NFC last 29

Now let’s try and support these numbers in relationship to the games. Pittsburgh is making a late season charge, while the Panthers are heading down on the elevator. The Steelers have won 4 of 5 albeit the wins were against Cleveland twice, Tampa Bay and New Orleans. Carolina has lost three in a row to Washington, Philadelphia and New York and this looks like Pittsburgh all the way right?

Not so fast my good man! Steelers are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games as a favorite of 0.5-3.0 and the Steelers are 0-5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games.

Pittsburgh is favored by 2.5.

The Jets 7-6 head to Minnesota 6-7 and are listed as +3 dogs. Over is 12-4 in NYJ last 16 games overall. NYJ are 7-2 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.

New York will not be able to run the ball, so be careful here!

Arizona will look to beat another AFC team this week when the Broncos come calling. Last weak they handled Seattle who has a better offense then Denver’s.

Some Denver players are accusing their teammates of giving up on the season, while Cardinal players are trying to save their coach Dennis Green’s job, with a strong finish.

SuperBook.com has all your NFL action as well as all the College Football Bowl games lines!
