Betting On Teams Who Have Lost Focus!

This week marks the beginning of an incredible run of sports action as the Poinsettia Bowl kicks off the College Bowl season. The largest online sportsbook and casino SuperBook.com, has been preparing for this smorgasbord all year and they are READY!
Thirty two tremendous opportunities to earn some greenbacks and the big question, is who is motivated and which teams are blasé about the whole affair? One game in particular that has caught my attention is the Motor City Bowl in beautiful Detroit, Michigan. Pardon me for a second as I remove my tongue from my cheek, as this is not a reward for the MAC Champion Central Michigan Chippewa’s, rather a penalty.
The MAC Conference has gained notoriety the past few years, as their teams have given ranked college football teams all they can handle when they have met and have produced the likes of Chad Pennington, Byron Leftwich, Ben Roethlisberger and Charlie Frye. Central Michigan was an awful program that was put on the map by the leadership of their coach Brian Kelly and a sensational freshman quarterback Dan LeFevour. Make no mistake about it folks, this QB is the real deal, with 2900 yards of passing, 25-10 touchdown to interception ratio and 452 yards of rushing.
Central Michigan was a bettor’s delight this year, with the best spread record in the country, as they rewarded gamblers with an 11-2 win-lost ratio. They are money in the bank right? Not so fast my friends! A great percentage of MAC players are from Ohio and Michigan, who were not good enough for Ohio State, Cincinnati, Michigan or Michigan State. They ended up at Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Northern Michigan, Ohio and other MAC schools and the players have a chip on their shoulder when they are motivated. When not focused, they are mediocre, like most teams.
Four MAC schools get invitation to bowl games and if you are lucky to be a player on those teams, I have a question to ask. You go to school in Mount Pleasant Michigan, Dekalb Illinois, Kalamazoo, Michigan or Athens, Ohio. If you are the champion and had just won the big game in downtown Detroit, I present your team with an option. Would you like a Christmas holiday, in San Diego, California, Toronto, Canada, Mobile, Alabama or Detroit, Michigan.
I would think most players would choose San Diego first, Toronto second, Alabama third and least of all Detroit. Well the Central Michigan Chippewa’s were not given the option, they were told to go to Detroit. I bet some of these players are getting calls their buddies on Northern Illinois who are checking out the babes is California, or the Western Michigan guys, who are drinking in Canada, where the drinking age and sex bars is 19.
Oh yes I forgot to mention the Central Michigan team lost their coach Brian Kelly who left right after the championship and head for Cincinnati and a fat contract. This is the guy who recruited all the juniors, sophomores and freshmen, like LeFevour. Tell me this hasn’t been a distraction?
The line opened at Sportsbook at -11 and is dropping faster then the weather in Detroit and is now down to -9. Oh and by the way Central Michigan is playing a team called the Middle Tennessee St. Blue Raiders. This should get the MAC Champions motivated, you think?
