SuperBook.com Has Vikings-Packers Clash!
Wednesday, December 20th 2006(Bob Acton)

Two teams that are on life support system in regards to the NFC playoff picture will meet Thursday at frigid Lambeau Field in Wisconsin. The reeling Minnesota Vikings and the inconsistent Green Bay Packers will meet in a good old fashion black and blue division game.

The NFL Network has been a bonus this season with the exception of announcer Bryant Gumbell, who makes the games sound like were watching a bowling contest.

Americans will be flocking to their favorite online sportsbook this holiday season and that means SuperBook.com will be their destination. This incredible outlet has some amazing bonuses available if you sign up right now!

Minnesota has decided to replace their starting quarterback veteran Brad Johnson with rookie Tarvaris Jackson out of Alabama State. With the recent play of Johnson, most bettors would applaud the change, but putting an unproven rookie in the spotlight on National television, is a questionable move. While the weather in the US has been unseasonably warm in 2006, the forecast calls for a very chilly night and I’m not sure being raised in Alabama, expose you very mush to these outside elements.

Look for Coach Brad Childress to try and use Jackson on bootlegs and rollouts, but try and establish the run behind guard Steve Hutchinson. Jackson entered late in the third quarter on Sunday and completed 14 of 23 passes for 177 yards with his first-career touchdown and interception. Travis Taylor and Troy Williamson tied for the team lead with six receptions apiece and Mewelde Moore added five catches, including a reception he took 35 yards for a touchdown. Jackson's presence in the game gives the Vikings a more mobile and far more elusive quarterback.

The Packers can forget about trying to run the ball against the staunch Viking defense and this means Mr. Farve will be in the spotlight as usual. This could be a bad thing, as he has a penchant for the interception. The good news I he is facing a terrible pass defense. Chad Pennington became the fourth quarterback in the past eight games to throw for 300 or more yards against the Vikings. Pennington completed 29 of 39 passes for 339 yards with a touchdown and an interception. His primary target was receiver Laveranues Coles, who had a season-high 12 receptions for 144 yards and a touchdown. Culprits included a pass rush that only had two sacks, a zone scheme that enabled the Jets to find its soft spots and rookie cornerback Cedric Griffin, who was picked on frequently. Fred Smoot, who was demoted into the nickel role when Griffin was made a starter, was victimized on Coles' 21-yard touchdown reception.

The over/under total is 36 and I would be leaning towards the smaller number in this affair!
