The Noose Is Tightning Around Dennis Green’s Neck!

Who is going to get axed first from their coaching position, Wayne Gretzky or Dennis Green? Both are struggling big time in the Valley of the Sun.
The Cardinals 8 game losing streak is the longest since 1991 and you have to go back to 1978 to find a start that equals this one. Matt Leinhart is finding out the hard way that NFL defenses are a little better then he saw in the PAC 10. They have a shot against Detroit whose offense got shutdown by a porous 49ers team. Edgerrin James had 68 yards against the Cowboys. Could this be the week he rushes for the elusive 100 yards?
This may be the week you want to bet the Falcons, who always seem to play well as an underdog. A few weeks back they went to Cincinnati and there was lots of criticism flowing Michael Vick’s way. They beat the Bengals 29-27, but then fell back into the pool of mediocrity with horrible losses to Detroit and Cleveland. They now head to Baltimore and a date with the sizzling Ravens, who sneaked past the Titans last week. This is one of those backs against the wall games and Atlanta is capable.
The Ravens are flying high due to the poor play of the Steelers and Bengals and could be looking at a letdown this week. They host a struggling Falcons team who is struggling and Pittsburgh may get caught searching for nails for the Steelers coffin, next week. They sleepwalked through three quarters in Tennessee last week, before staging a winning rally. That was a huge emotional victory for former Titans QB Steve McNair and they could be setup for a ride from the penthouse to the outhouse this week. Ray Lewis will miss this game and Samari Rolle can be abused at corner by the Falcons receivers.
Buffalo, who got a moral victory on Sunday, is holding the Colts offense to 17 points and now head to Houston with hope. Before you Bills bettors get too excited, please remember that the Texans are coming off three straight road tilts, where they played very well. They staged a furious rally in Tennessee three weeks ago only to fall short by the score of 28-22. Then they traveled to the Meadowlands and dropped a hard fought 14-10 decision to the Giants.
This past week they shocked a Jacksonville team who was undefeated at home, so the Bills will need to bring their lunch this Sunday. J.P. Losman attempted just 12 passes and completed 8 for 83 yards against Indy and will need to do much better, if Buffalo wants to open the running game.
