Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos are the state’s top football team. The club competes in the National Football League (NFL) as part of its American Football Conference (AFC) West division, and it plays its home games at Empower Field at Mile High, in Denver.

In 1960, the team was a charter member of the American Football League (AFL) and then it joined the NFL as part of the merger in 1970. The Broncos got off to a slow start in the NFL and did not have a winning season until 1973. They qualified for the playoffs for the first time in franchise history in 1977 and advanced to Super Bowl XII. Since 1975, the Broncos have gone on to become one of the league’s most successful teams.

Amongst their many achievements are eight AFC Championships (1977, 1986, 1987, 1989, 1997, 1998, 2013, 2015), and three Super Bowl championships (1997, 1998, 2015). The team also has eight primary members in the Pro Football Hall of Fame: John Elway, Floyd Little, Shannon Sharpe, Gary Zimmerman, Terrell Davis, Champ Bailey and Steve Atwater.

When it comes to betting on the Denver Broncos, the range of options will amaze you. You can of course bet upon all of their games, and there are plenty of regular and prop bets on offer. You can also make use of NFL futures betting, such as betting on how many regular season wins the Broncos will have or you could bet on them to win the AFC Championship. As you explore our website, you will find that there are masses of opportunities; more than enough to satisfy even the most passionate Broncos fan. Read More

Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets are Colorado’s leading professional basketball team. They are a member of the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Western Conference Northwest Division. The Nuggets’ history goes back to 1967 when the team was founded as the Denver Larks, a charter franchise of the American Basketball Association (ABA). However, the team changed its name to the Rockets before the start of the first season. Then, in 1974, the team changed its name once again to become the Nuggets. After the name change, the team came close to winning the last ABA Championship title in 1976, but in the end lost to the New York Nets.

The Nuggets have had some successful periods. They qualified for the ABA Playoffs in every season from 1967 to 1976. In 1976, the Nuggets joined the NBA following the ABA-NBA merger, and they qualified for the NBA playoffs in nine consecutive seasons in the 1980s and ten consecutive seasons from 2004 to 2013. However, the Nuggets have not reached the NBA Finals since their final year in the ABA, making them one of only four surviving former ABA teams to have never reached the NBA Finals. Today, the Nuggets play their home games at the Ball Arena.

If you are looking to back the Denver Nuggets at SuperBook then you are not short of opportunities. For each game you can bet on the result, as well as player props, parlay props, game props, and far more. Then you can also bet on the NBA as a whole, perhaps backing the Nuggets to reach the NBA Finals for the first time, or maybe just to be the conference winner.  Read More

Colorado Avalanche

Colorado Avalanche, known locally as the Avs, are the state’s professional ice hockey team. They take part in the National Hockey League (NHL) as part of the Western Division and they play their games at the Ball Arena, which they share with the Denver Nuggets.

The Avs were founded back in 1972 and were originally known as the Quebec Nordiques. They were one of the charter franchises of the World Hockey Association. The franchise then joined the NHL in 1979 due to the NHL-WHA merger. After the 1994-95 season, the team was sold to the COMSAT Entertainment Group, and this is when they relocated to Denver.

During the Avalanche’s first season in Denver, the team won the Pacific Division and went on to beat the Florida Panthers in the 1996 Stanley Cup Finals, making it the first NHL team to win the Stanley Cup in the season after a relocation. This is a feat that has only been matched by the NFL’s 1937 Washington Redskins.

More recently, in the 2001 Stanley Cup Finals, the Avs beat the New Jersey Devils 4-3 to win their second championship. Since moving to Denver, the team has won ten division titles, during which they set the league record for the most consecutive division titles at nine in a row between 1995 and 2003. They also qualified for the playoffs in each of their first ten seasons after relocation, a feat that is sure to inspire all Colorado sports teams.

Hockey fans have plenty of opportunities to bet on the Avalanche here at SuperBook. We offer a wide range of markets on each game, including prop bets on goals, shots, points, and assists, a wide range of game props, and of course, plenty of markets on the NFL and the Stanley Cup.

The Rockies’ home games take place at Coors Field, in the Lower Downtown area of Denver, and the team is currently owned by the Monfort brothers and managed by Bud Black.

The Rockies were initially an expansion team for the 1993 season and for their first two seasons, their home games took place at the Mile High Stadium. They moved to Coors Field in 1995, and the venue has since developed a reputation as a hitter’s park. The team has qualified for the postseason five times, each time as a Wild Card winner. The team earned its first NL pennant in 2007 after it won 14 of its final 15 games in the regular season to earn a Wild Card position, and it capped the streak off with a 13 innings 9-8 win over the San Diego Padres in the tiebreaker game, which has become known as “Game 163” by Rockies’ fans. The team went on to sweep the Philadelphia Phillies and Arizona Diamondbacks in the NLDS and NLCS respectively and they entered the 2007 World Series as winners of 21 or their last 22 games. However, the American League (AL) champions, the Boston Red Sox, then swept them in four games.

The basketball team is a member of The Summit League, as are the swimming and diving team, the soccer teams, tennis, golf, and women’s volleyball. The Pioneers’ men’s ice hockey team is a charter member of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC).

The university’s basketball team became an NCAA independent Division I program after WWII and it remained so until 1970, when due to financial pressure it joined the NAIA where it played until 1992. It then joined the NCAA as a Division II program and it returned to NCAA Division I in 1999 when it became a member of the Sun Belt Conference until 2012. At that point, it joined the Western Athletic Conference for one season before joining the Summit League in 2013.

Ice Hockey is the Pioneers’ main spectator sport and the team regularly fills the 6,026 Magness Arena on its campus.
