Dodgers firepower too much for lowly Tigers

Tigers at Dodgers

Dodgers Stadium – Los Angeles, CA

10:10 ET

Los Angeles Dodgers -330

It wasn’t that long ago that the baseball world was beside itself, failing to understand why Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw was yanked in the midst of a perfect game. Forget about it. It’s water under the bridge. More importantly, a “fresh” Kershaw takes the mound today with a 2.65 ERA and a 3-0 record.

Not only are the L.A. Dodgers one of the best teams in baseball – on paper or on the field – but the Detroit Tigers are one of the worst. By any measure – for our purposes, we can go with a massive -330 – the Dodgers should win easily. Indisputably, the Dodgers are the “better” team, but add the fact that Detroit will start Beau Brieske, who lost his only outing this season to the Colorado Rockies and carries with him a 5.40 ERA.

The 13-6 Dodgers should make easy work of the 6-13 Tigers.

Richard DeMala’s pick: Dodgers -1.5 (-155)
