It’s a battle of the stars, as the Sixers and Nets square off in Philly

March 10, 2022

Nets at 76ers

Wells Fargo Center – Philadelphia, PA
7:30 PM ET
Philadelphia -4.5

Arguably, the Nets are the most disappointing team in the NBA this season. After entering the year with championship aspirations, they’ve sputtered to a 33-33 record, with plenty of drama along the way.

While that’s not all behind them, as Ben Simmons still needs to get into the lineup, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Tonight will be Kevin Durant’s fourth game back since returning from injury. Plus, Kyrie Irving will be in the lineup for Brooklyn.

In Tuesday’s 132-121 victory over the Hornets, that duo combined for 64 points. They’ll need to have a similar performance to upset the Sixers.

Of course, the storyline in this matchup will be James Harden facing his old team for the first time since the blockbuster trade brought the star to Philly. It’ll make for a great atmosphere, as the hometown crowd will be in rare form tonight.

Harden wants to show the Nets they made a mistake. Durant wants to prove that he doesn’t need the mercurial sidekick.

It’ll make for a great game. TNT has a doozy on the docket.

But in a battle between superstars, one is more likely to answer the bell. It’s KD’s night.
