SuperBook Sports’ Digital And Retail Sportsbooks To Launch Sunday

Ohio will be the seventh state in which SuperBook Sports offers its extensive betting menu

SuperBook Sports will go live in its seventh state Sunday by launching both its digital sports betting platform across Ohio and a temporary retail space at Taft’s Ale House in Cincinnati, the company announced via press release.
The retail sportsbook is one of a dozen that has final approval from the Ohio Casino Control Commission to start taking bets on New Year’s Day, and the mobile app is one of 16.
When Ohio lawmakers legalized sports betting in December 2021, they mandated a start date no later than Jan. 1, 2023. The OCCC has since developed regulations and approved applications for launch. The law allows for retail wagering at professional sports venues, casinos, racinos, and many other brick-and-mortar locations. It also allows for lottery partners to have betting kiosks on site, and the expectation is that there will eventually be more than 1,000 of those across the state.
SuperBook Sports is partnered with FC Cincinnati of the MLS and ultimately has plans for a book at the team’s new TQL Stadium. It will temporarily take bets at Taft’s, where SuperBook Sports will install teller windows and kiosks in the existing space that has flat-screen televisions throughout. A 1990s-themed New Year’s Eve party will be held there beginning at 7 p.m.

SuperBook Sports, known for its season-long NFL SuperContest in Nevada, has previously said it hopes to extend the contest to other legal wagering states. The contest has paid out more than $33 million since 1998, and there are multiple options for participating.
The company is also known for having an extensive bet menu and real-time odds. It also regularly offers odds boosts.
SuperBook Sports already operates in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Jersey, Tennessee, and Iowa, which all have smaller populations than Ohio. The company promises “a variety of unique promotions available in Ohio, including a lucrative sign-up bonus as well as sports-specific and timely offers” on launch.
