There isn’t a hotter team heading into the tournament than Longwood; the Lancers have won 19 out of 20 games. They beat Winthrop by 21 points in the Big South title game to punch their ticket. Meanwhile, Tennessee lost in a No. 5 vs. No. 12 upset last year to Oregon State. Don’t sleep on Longwood.

Indiana had to play Tuesday night in Dayton, knocking off Wyoming in one of the First Four matchups. The Hoosiers then had to travel to Portland, where they’ll face a well-rested St. Mary’s squad. The Gaels have won five of six entering the tourney, including a win over No. 1 Gonzaga. Meanwhile, Indiana was just 2-3 in its games leading up to the big dance.

One team is hot. The other is not. San Diego State has won six of its last seven, with the Aztecs’ lone loss being a one-point defeat at the hands of Boise State in the Mountain West championship game. Meanwhile, Creighton is just 3-3 in its last six games, finishing the season 15-10 after starting 7-1. Go with the hot team.
