The scoreboard operator will be busy tonight in Charlotte

Celtics at Hornets

Spectrum Center – Charlotte, NC
7:00 PM ET
Boston -7.0

When Charlotte is on the floor, expect a high-scoring game. That’s what happens when a team posts a trio of players averaging more than 19.0 points per game.

Miles Bridges (19.9), LaMelo Ball (19.8) and Terry Rozier (19.5) are all prolific scorers. And it doesn’t stop there for the Hornets, with Kelly Oubre Jr. (16.3) and Gordon Hayward (16.1) also able to fill it up on a nightly basis.

As a team, Charlotte is averaging 114.4 points per game. That’s second in the NBA, behind only Milwaukee (114.5).

That’s certainly been the case of late. In their last three games, the Hornets have scored 119, 123 and 132, respectively.

In addition, they don’t play a lot of defense. On Saturday, San Antonio put up 117. Last night, Brooklyn hung 132 on them.

So expect a shootout tonight. Boston plays high-scoring games, as well. They’re last two outings have combined for 227 and 246, while Charlotte’s have totaled 240 and 253.
